Default larger throttle body

I have an intake that is ported to accept a 58 mm throttle body. Im not sure what stock is, maybe 48mm. Would I be better off going for the 58mm tb or like a 52mm tb. I have a cold air intake, headers with cat-back exhaust and a bigger cam so far. Also would I just have to buy a brand new throttlebody from edelbrock or something ordo i send mine insomewhereas a core or whatever. thanks for any input.

LT1? LS1? TPI?....It helps if you tell us what kind of engine you are asking about.

52-58MM sounds like an LT1 but yeah it does help if we know what engine.

Well I would say 58 if the intake is ported to accept it.

You're not going to be able to use all the flow from a 58mm TB until you're making around 350+ RWHP, but if you plan on doing new heads in the future you may as well go for the 58mm right now, especially if the intake can already accept it.

if you put a 58mm on a stock inturnal LT1 it will bog it down a little, so its best to so a cam and some other work till you get the 58mm

plus the stock 48mm is good till 400hp

what would a 52mm tb do for a stock engine? i mean cuz most parts tell you the hp gains but tbs dont.
