Default interior water leak

2001 3.8......I recently developed a water leak that shows on the floor on the drivers side.
Is this something that is common?

Can it be from the ventilation system whereby the vent door, that allows outside air to enter, is not closed properly? Thanks.

Location of the leak on the driver floorboard would help. Is it constantly there or only during wet weather?

unusual for water to get on driver side. i would think door seal, windshield or t top if you have them. front or rear?

Water shows front driver side, no t-top. Appears after rain. I read on another site that it may be clogged drains in the fresh air vent area. Is it difficult to remove the cowling to inspect that area? I tested by running water over the area and pulling back the carpet but I did not see where it entered.

have a look under the car and see if you have any holes or drain plugs that have been removed in that part of the floor. only thing i can think of is the door/window seal. or maybe one of these cans is disfunctioning laying open under the seat

there is a spot behind the wiper motor that could be leaking also the steering column seal may be the issue.

Thanks for the input Craby. I can rule out the can as being the source since that's not my drink of choice. I like the clear stuff with a little OJ! I have a look underneath and let you know.
