interior swap

i am 6'3... and and the way the gauges are in my 94 they are straight and small. the newer gauges or trans am gauges are bigger and more contoured filling more of the dash making everything look more proportioned. imho

Mezzy,
The seats changed in 97 or 98 to allow for better view out the windshield. This was a common complaint from owners of the Camaros and FBs. Either way both styles of seat mount the same so they are all interchangable.

I just completed a dash swap from a 95 to a 97, it went quite smoothly. I can vouch for the thickness of the door panels... I haven't changed them yet and the rub on the new dash. It not cost me 75 for the whole set up and 50 for all four seats at the junkyard and they're in gret condition. I love junkyards lol but my heater works just fine and I didn't swap anything electrical, I just kept all the stuff from the 95. As for wiring the cluster gague, you'll have to find the color codes for both like crabby said, but you have to wire a ground to the ABS or the light will always be on.

125 bucks total!!!! wow i might be doing this and pricing it out sooner than i thought...... thx for the ground info, any more heads up on stuff will be awesome you guys! so swapping the gauges went smoothly?

ok first step, i priced mine out at the only junkyard in reno... 275 for the entire dash with climate controls and no gauges. and i would still need to buy door panels 45 a piece and i need a manual shifter console. so im looking at over 400 for this project..... might have to wait for a cl part out somewhere near here. then i still gotta buy seats to! 140 a piece. maybe check ebay and start collecting parts as they pop up?

My junk yard must be really super cheap! They don't have any electronic cataloging or anything I jut walk in with parts and they say"I'll take 10 bucks for it" keep looking I bet you can find it cheaper somewhere
