Default interior swap

ive looked and all the info is vauge... i dont like my 94 interior... i loved my 97's... can i swap everything from a 97 into a 94? ive herd yes butmy question is when i get to the gauges. do i just splice the 97+ harness by color into the old harness' wires? i know about the ducting... would it be easier to get the interior from a trans am? if i found a 94 would everything be exact??? i like trans am interiors.

body is the same so interior will fit. cluster im not so sure but think they can be exchanged. you would need to find the color codes for both years to connect.

also a swap type question. as a completely custom thing, can i swap any seat realistically into my car with proper weldage? i think bmws have the best seats, specifically e36 sport seats. can it be done???? if not... any racing seats that could pass as factory looking... im struggling badly on that.... i looked at 6le, and they are to boring in that style, if they are custom they are to pricey... but close to what i want. i like the cipher 1019 as well. looks like at 16" wide it would hold tight.

Been here done it...

The dash is not the only thing that has to be changed. The heater unit under the dash is not the same and will have to be changed as will the door panels. YES the door panels. The ones for the 93-96 are slightly larger than the 97+ ones and they will bind on the new style dash. They may look the same but they are NOT! Just trust me here. As for the cluster wiring I am not sure how much the systems have changed from one cluster to the next. It would depend on how different the signals from the computer are for the different readings.

Just our of curiosity how do you know they were changed? The styling on both sets is identical but the area near the dash is different and no noticable until you have them side by each.

i used to own a 97,these door panels look the same... if they are nearly identical like you say then ill swap them out for trans am door panels and interior. if i can find a 9
to. so everything should be the same. then if i can ill kill the backseat and weld in some nice aftermarket ones. or bmw ones if possible. i always thought pre 97 door panels looked completely different.

When you get it done you should post some pictures. I'd like to see how it looks. I have really ****ty interior so i might just swap it out if everything goes smoothly for you
