Interior lights and Dash panel flashes

@DashingDaryl the alarm does arm because if i dont put my key in the ignition and turn it to ON within about 8 seconds my alarm starts going off but the blinking and flashing doesnt stop I just ordered a new door jamb switch that may be the problem
I have also tried doing what you just said but no it seems if the door is not open the blinking and flashing doesnt happen just the alarm going off

i dont think the 96 came with an alarm, what kind of alarm is goin. have you looked under the dash for a shut off/disable switch.

the alarm itself is hanging inside my spare tire compartment...weird i know

yes unhook it. can you get a picture. i would say that its a aftermarket alarm and it is whats giving you issues. i took the one out of mine as soon as i got the car. still have wires i havent gotten too.

Alright ill take a picture of it when i remove it
it says Delco-Loc II on it

that could be the stereo alarm. found a little on it How to unlock a THEFTLOCK or DELCO-LOC II audio system

ITS FIXED...
what I had to do was remove the theft shock sensor from the car, then take out the radio fuse, turn the key to ACC and turn the theft derrent system to mode 1 which is alarm completely off and as of now it has worked just fine
