Default Intake, Headers, Exhaust.

Alright, so I have been looking around the 4th gen section, and the section with the same name as my topic, and now I am wondering what YOU think the best brand would be for these three modifications.

From the testimonies I have read, it seems the best way to go is:

K&N CAI, and Kooks headers, but I'm not 100% sure on exhaust.

Opinions please!

Your choice of intake sounds good to me. I don't know a whole lot about what brand is best for headers, but have heard good things about Hedman Headers. For exhaust I would recommend Dynomax. I just put on Dynomax exhaust on my 3.8 and it sounds excellent. It sounds even better on V8's though too. There are some graphs on the Dynomax website that shows a higher CFM than other brands that are worth checking out.

Haven't heard of dynomax before. But I will definitely check 'em out.

From what I've read, the order for FM, MF, and borla is like this (Sound/HP gains):
Flowmaster<Magnaflow<Borla.
But for price it's the opposite. Borla<Magnaflow<Flowmaster. (In 'goodness' of price. )

Yes? No?!? Maybe?!?!?!

Do they have an lt1 section? Or can I assume that the sound from the exhaust systems that ls1sounds.com portrays will be similar to what the lt1 counterpart will be like?

Gonna check anyway. :P

The LT1 might sound a little different because it has a different firing order, different bore, different stroke.

IMO Corsa is the best looking and sounding cat-back on the market. It might be the most expensive but my dads got it on his vette and it sounds amazing. Hedman headers all the way, and for intake I think SLP and K&N are the top two in that category. This is just from my experiences with an LS1 vette.

they have lt1 clips on that site as well. and yes corsa is great too...but again its like borla in which you have to give your left nut for it. if you can afford it i'd say go for it!
