i have a 95 with the 3.8 v6. most of the time when i turn the kay
on i get nothing at all i have no headlight no power at all i have cut
the alarm outa it thinkin it was the problem but it wasnt. if i let it
set for a few days itll give me power and kick over but there is
times when trying to start it the starter winds out and i loose all
power again. ive cleaned the connections and put a new battery any
one have any ideas???

 

Are you saying that the starter is not engaging, or that the starter is not capable of cranking the engine, or is the starter cranking the engine and the engine won't start? What do you mean by "the starter winds out"? Is the security lamp on when attempting to start?

 

Next time it acts up, jump the starter relay terminals and see if the car cranks, that way you can rule out the high amperage side of the system and focus on figuring out the control side. Also, the ignition control modules aren't exactly know for being "reliable". It'd be nice if you had a scan tool to see if you have a crank signal or not.

 

there is times when cranking the engin the starter stops engaging and just makes a quick wind noise and then i loose all power to the entire car. Headlight dash lights everything looses power like its a dead battery but the battery is 100 percent charged. ive tried to manuely kick the starter and nothing happens at all. i do not remember if the security light is on when cranking and i cant test it because it cuts all the power. in a day or so it will all have power again and i can test it i have the matco obd2 scanner handy at all time but ive never tested it when cranking it. no check engin light ever comes on
