Default Idle slow, Check engine light blinking

Driving fine. Check engine light started blinking. Slowed down to a stop sign, the idle seemed sluggish. I havn't put it on adiagnostic computer yet. Will the computer tell me, via codes, whats wrong with her?

Usually a blinking SES light is from a reoccurring misfire, but it could be something different. Read the codes and let us know more about the issue.

Put it on the diagnostic. Cylinder #4 misfire....... Ciol pack was very corroded on the 1,4, the other two looked fine. Replaced it , Nothing different.... Replaced just the one plug, Nothing Different..... Down to the wire? As a last step? Does any one know how the plug numbers layout on the engine?

Next changed out the #4 plug.... Nothing Better....
Changed "A" and "C" and not "B".. The wire...
Do you know how the spark plug numbers are layed out on the engine? I just want to make sure they are all on right.

what yr and model? whens the last time u changed plug wires. could be it. as far as i know for a v8 its odd on drivers side 1 3 5 7 front to back, even on the pas side. for a v6 in my 93 book it shows 2 4 6 on the drivers side front to back and odd 1 3 5 on pas side. check #1 plug and wire also. just read again and see u changed it already. try wires.

It is a 97 V6. On the coil packs they are numbered. I followed the #4 back to the passenger side, front... I don't know the last time the wires have been replaced. The plugs are really hard to get to. What would be the best book to see the plug locations and layouts? HAY,,,, Thanks for helping me..... Pretty cool....

dealer shop manuals are what ive always used. that way u get all the info for your yr car only. not all the other year stuff that confuses a guy. did a google and got this for your car. couldnt get it to go right so u will have to past onto your address bar.

ps i think they changed the fireing order in 97. if not u may have 1 and 4 reversed.
