The Special Annaversary package came only in SS trim with White body, Hugger Orange stripes and white leather with cloth hound's tooth interior.
The embossed seats were pretty common, but not a 100% option like the 02's and the dash plaque.

All 97's were called 30th anniversary models, just because of simple math. GM did the same thing with the Vettes. The special anniversary edition "package" (white paint/orange stripes, solid leather or leather/cloth combo seats with embroidered logo) was available with the SS and Z28 model only. The right column in this link titled "Available Models" explains the options. http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar....php?year=1997
Here's the non-SS Z28 model:

I ment that not all the 97s came with the embossed seats. But yes they are all annaversary cars. And I didnt know that the Special Edition package was also available on the non SS Z28s... Good to know. I am hoping to find me a nice 30th Annaversary Camaro, I dont care if it is a 6 or an 8 I just want the new dash and the old nose.

I like the 97 anniv. model because they made it color schemed like the 69 Pace Car. But the 69 had an orange interior with the orange/black houndstooth seats, no leather.

I knew I was right. I've never seen a base model 1997 Camaro with the 30th Anniversary treatment. You noobs almost had me convinced that I was wrong.

You could get it on the base model, it cost a couple $$$ more and only gave you the embossed seat logos. As for the embroydered and striped you had to get the Z or SS and pay even more $$$.

Leather didnt guarantee the embossing either, there is a 97 in my area right now with leather no embossing, also a base model 5 sp with cloth and the logos embossed.

I'm going over in a little bit to check on it again and get some pics. So later this evening I'll have them up on here with hopefully more information. Today is MLK day, so he's probably closed. If not, I'll post what all he says about the car and you guys can judge his words from the pics of the car and see what the deal is.

Most retail places are staying open because the feds are off, and idle hands spend money.

Only got 1 side picture since he was there. I didn't want to look like an idiot taking snap shots. I got the VIN number and did a background check on it @ Carfax. Everything came back clean.

it's a '97 Camaro RS, v6. Special edition emblems on side panel & seats.

he'll take $2500 for it. I plan on picking it up this week or next.

119,4xx miles.

Good deal?
