Okay, thanks. So you don't have to take the whole door panels off to change speakers? If not, then that's great! I broke both of my door panels on my current car trying to change speakers. Mine were made real cheap, though.

I also read if you remove the stock headunit, and replace it with an aftermarket headunit, the speakers won't work because of the amp? It said you'll have to run all new wires from speaker to headunit. I plan on amping my speakers later down the road anyway, so I was going to go ahead and run new speaker wire.

I probably sound like I care about audio more than anything else. haha. It's something I've been into since I was a teen. I can't stand driving with poor quality sound.

but thanks for the info.

If it has a true Monsoon and amp, you can get good $ for that if it all works right and it's CD. Up to $300, that's half your new tires. Make sure and test everything before you rip it out. Looks like you got a great deal!! Sounds like your this weeks LOTTO winner!

"Delco" name was on the radio. It wasn't a cd player, though. (I don't think it was at least.) Cause whoever had it put a JVC (Yuck) 6 disc changer in it. I've never messed with disc changers so I'm hoping it's easy to take out.

All right, sounds good then.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it isn't too much of a mess. I guess I'll be doing a lot of zip tying if that's the case.

I've always thought of th 30th anniv edition as a white z28 with orange stripes, although i guess you could say any 97 was the 30th anniv.
If you like it offer 2500, who knows.
My opinion is they are relatively cheap to fix.
If you can't afford much, a 4th gen camaro is maybe the coolest way to have a cheap car.

Just to fill everyone on some updates. I picked the car up this afternoon and now I am the proud owner. I talked him into 2500 even including the tax and warranty and what not. (Saved a few hundred) Drove it home which was about 40min away from the dealership and ran great. Only problem I noticed was that it wanted to steer towards the right when you let go of the steering wheel. I assume alignment? Other than that I found no complaints.

It's going to be some time to get use to. I'm use to having 4 cylinders and when I take off from a standpoint I usually have to floor it to get some speed and I did it once on the Camaro and tires sure did like that. But from all the cars I've owned/driven this is by far my favorite. It's really fun to cruise around in these.

Before I left the dealer I checked to see if the powered windows worked, fluids (windshield fluid was frozen cause whoever had it used water and the dealer never drained it. ) and I couldn't figure out the t-tops. ha ha. Took it home and probably spent an hour trying to figure out how to open them up. I figured it needed a special key, but after doing research you can use the main key (Which it had a hard time fitting into the locks) so after a few minute of wiggling it around, it finally went in. I had to use almost all my strength to open the hatch to release the t-top. I'm hoping it just needs oiled or because its cold out, and nothing wrong with it. But I did notice both key locks are broke since you can open the tops either way the key is turned. No biggie.

I'll post some pics tomorrow for those who are interested in seeing them.

2500 is a deal. congrats man. i assume you checked the air pressure in the tires. i would look at tires for the front and check tie rod ends before alignment.

Congrats!!

The key for the T-tops is the door key (round one) Make sure the keyhole is verticle before trying to open the tops. if not you will mess up the mech inside the top. They store in the rear well and the drivers top goes in first and locks into the rack inside the well. Then the pass side goes in. Return them to the roof in reverse order. OH and the tops do not have to be locked to stay on the roof. There should be enough friction to hold everything up even if the tops are not locked. I rarely ever lock mine.
