Well as bad as this sounds it true. Heres my story. I was going home from work. I was gonna stop at micky d's for some dinner. Well at a walmart parking lot they had a bunch oh guys and all there hondas. So I went in there pulled up and started syaing yo any you guys wanna race? Most of them stayed quiet. Then others said hell no im not racing that thing. Then I started to run my mouth. Then the one kid says the guy in the crx will race you. So he agreed to do it. Then we pull out hop on the highway. I knew he had a turbo because I could hear it. I was still thinking no problem. Well we get on and start from a 45-50 roll. we both hit it. I thought I had him then after 90 He shoots ahead of me and i mean way ahead leaving a horrible smell of smoke in my face. After that I was shocked and felt like a idiot. How ever I was not a sissy about it. I went back to the parking lot and told them all he really did beat me. I thought they where gonna talk **** but no one did. I was talking to him. He told me He was boosting 18psi and had 5grand into the motor. I told him i respect his car. So we talked for a little then I left. Btw. It was a beat up honda to. I just thought it was some junk. Well it kicked my butt. This goes to show you that you never know what people have until you race them. My 98 ls1 only has lid and exhaust

 

If he's willing to race you in a beat up Honda, it's quite obvious that he was running something under the hood. Sounds like an okay guy though.

 

yea. no one else wanted to. he was the only one. Like i said i knew there was a turbo but i dint think he would be boosting 18psi. He was younger to. 17-19. when i went back he told me it runs 11s. and i believe it 100% his tail lights where far from me..

 

a crx is pretty light, and a roll-on is perfect for a fwd. im sure from a dead stop you would have won it easily

 

Ya i was thinking that today. he said no dig. he wanted roll anyway. But i gave it to him. Maybe ill run into him again

Lol he woulda gotten owned from a dig. If he would have spooled from a launch he would have just spun tires and lost.

I think it only had a JDM Bumper. Other then that it looked like junk. He looked like one of them guys that dont give a crap what the car look like as long as it goes fast. lol but no stickers or anything like that

 

Thats like half of the 240sx's around where I live. "Haggard" is like the new car look to them
