so i just went from 20w50 to5w30 plus i added a quart of marvels mystery oil and wen i went to start it, it started for about two seconds and just died. what could it be?

edit: i have a 1996 6cyl 3.8liter 3800 series II engine

 

You replaced the filter, I assume. Does it turn over now?

 

yes i replaced the fram filter with a wix filter and it still doesn't whant to continue to idle

 

How was the pressure at the initial startup?

oil pressure is normal, another thing is when i start it i hear two sparks or clicks instead of one, if that makes any sense usually its click vroom now its click click vroom

 

and i did hear a whining sound that was abnormal just before i changed my oil while driving?

 

now something interesting is happening i start it it goes for 2 second i wait 5 seconds and try to start it again and all i get is click click click?

 

Hmmm how is your voltage, It sounds like a generater or battery conection isue maybe a ground.

 

Make sure the fuses are okay, and that the battery is fully charged.
