Spartan, you have to do most plugs by feel on our cars...that's just the way it works. You need to use the spark plug socket, it has special padding so you don't damage the end of the plug with a normal deep-wall socket. Invest in a spark-plug ratchet, you will not regret that purchase, my spark-plug ratchet is one of the most useful tools in my tool box.

ok im gonna look at it in my auto shop today. But when i bought the car i didnt figure on it costing 200 bucks to change out the plugs, thats what motivated me to do it myself...

yeah i feel your pain spartan. the dealership charged me $145.00 buck just to remove the number two spark plug. i take my care to this other auto shop an change my plugs for me. only $145.00 dollars i gues that aint to bad.

dont you have a harbor frieght? go buy a LED work light, and the right tools. it will cost all of $30.

Spartan, a few of those plugs are impossible to get off with a ratchet. I have a spark plug socket that has a 6-sided hex on the end. For the tight ones where the ratchet won't clear, you can put a box or open end wrench on the socket and crank 'er off that way.

yeah i brought it into my shop class and got another off today! ran out of time tho kuz we had the whole lecture too. 3 down 5 to go lol.

most plug sockets will come with that for that very reason. open ended wrengh ftw
