Alright a couple months ago i noticed a small oil leak after a week of my newly changed oil, it seemed to be comming from the oil filter, so i changed it thinking i might have left the seal on the old filter or something. it seemed to be fine after that until now...i drove down the street about a mile and when i parked i noticed a funky smell i shut the car off and checked my oil right away, sure enough there was almost nothing in it and a trail of oil in the parking garage i was in. its a big mess under there so i cant point out where its comming from it looks like its either the oild filter again or something right next to the drivers side beacsue theres a **** load of oil on it, any sugestions???

 

If the car has an oil cooler, you may want to see if the cooler has come loose from the block. If that is the case, remove the filter and tighen the big nut holding the cooler in place.

 

i just had to have my intake fixed. it was leaking oil and we couldn't figure out from where and we thought the same thing with the oil filter. i'd do what pete said first and if that doesn't fix it then i'd start looking there as well
