Default How much is my 97 anniversary camaro worth?

Hey Guys,

I know this question is kind of hard to answer since not everyone has the same opinion on value but I wanted to get some feedback from other camaro owners as to what they think these cars are selling for.

I have a 97 white with orange huggar stripes 30th anniversary camaro. Has the 30th logos on the seats, houndstooth, etc. It has 80K original miles, t tops, automatic, power everything, new tires, new brakes, new plugs and wires, etc. Car is in amazing condition and I have plenty of pics available.

I have been trying to sell it for a few months and while I am getting enough people emailing and calling, I haven't been able to seal a deal. I know times are tough and not everyone is shopping for these cars but what should I be asking? Some have told me to ask 10K while others have told me to ask around 7K. When I look around on the internet to see what others are selling them for, the price range is crazy. I have seen some with a million miles on them and they are asking like $13K for them.

What do you guys think?

Thanks - funny thing is that someone on another thread just replied and said don't take any less than 10K for it.

I have been advertising it at $8500 which I think is more than fair but still haven't been able to sell it. Maybe I need to list it on ebay motors or auto trader and stop messing around with craigslist.

I would say 7k is about right. You may wanna list it for 8k and just let someone talk you down to 7k. I seen one just like this that was in mint condition at a Chevy dealership the other day for 8,400, and we know what dealership prices are like.

List it at $8499. Sounds smaller then $8500. It really depends on your area. Look at other canaria in your area and add a few extra $$.

People love high resolution pictures. Include as many as possible.

That seems very expensive. I got a 1999 Camaro, 80k Miles, T-Tops, Auto, Cloth, for 3700. It has a minor dent on the side, and I had to fix the power windows.

These cars have not come to appreciate yet. I think they are one of the best deals in performance budget cars available today and I am in the automotive business. Bottom like, it's a 97, a 14 y/o car and you gotta get a cash in fist buyer most likely. I say the end of the world is $7500 real dollars. A dealer would likely pull up NADA book value for trade in if you just wanted to sell it and move on. Times are tough and it IS a buyer's market. Why do you want to sell it? I'd suggest either hanging on to it and ask $8500-$10k and expect to hang onto it for sometime or trade for something that you do want. I got my 96 SS with a fresh rebuild for the whopping sum of $4300. In 15-20 years these cars will bring some dough in good shape but for now, it is the lowest it's ever gonna be. Just my .02's.

I bought a 30th Anniversary earlier this year. Auto, regular white leather seats with the 30 logo, power seat, windows, locks, factory security, t top, clean Florida car with 110k on the clock. SLP CAI, Flowmaster cat-back. Came with a brand new set of Goodyear F1 275/40/17's on immaculate '02 SS wheels along with the factory white 5 spokes and Cooper tires. I paid 6K in PA. I like the traits of the 3rd Gen in the front end. Upgraded the headlights to Xenon bulbs for more light.
