Default how do you remove the power mirror switch for replacement?

Does anybody know how to remove the power switch for the side mirrors from the driver's control panel so a replacement switch can be installed? I have a faulty switch on my 2001 camaro and recently purchased a new one. The original seems stuck and I can't figure out how to disconnect it from the control panel. Please advise...! thanks

If its the same as a 97 then remove the panel by levering out as in the excellent power window motor tutorial

http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

There is a tab on either side of the switch so you need to get a small screwdriver down the side and gently lever these out. I replaced the bezel on mine recently so had to swap all of the switches over. Just be careful and don't force anything.
