Default Hood options

Okay, just got a 95' Z28 a couple days ago, and the only thing wrong with it is hail damage on the hood. I thought PDR would get all the dents out because none of the paint is chipped or anything. It looks like there are too many to get out though So I am looking to buy a new hood. I don't want to get anything aftermarket. I know there wasn't an SS option until 96' so i guess what I am wondering is was there more than 1 style of hood for this year? I'm also wondering if ANY original hood off a 1993-1996 camaro will fit properly. Would a 96 SS hood fit correctly? I'm really wanting a scoop hood like the SS camaro Hopefully someone here has a little more knowledge than I do Thanks for all the help so far!

the hood you have is the only hood they offered until 96 but the 96 and 97 SS hoods will bolt right up to your car and look perfect (every 93-97 car has the exact same body)

Don't mean to doubt you or question your knowledge but you're sure the 97 hood fits a 95? I was under the impression that the body style the 95 is was only from 93-96! Of course, I have owned a thirdgen for the past two years so I could obviously be completely wrong

from what i read online the best way to go (unless you can find an oem SS hood) is through a company called trufiber they make the best fitting fiberglass hoods

Yeah, the 4th gen body style went from 93-97 and then switched front ends from 98-02. You will not be ablet o find an original SS hood unless there just happens to be one in a junk yard somewhere. In order to get an OEM hood you had to prove it was for an SS car. Fiberglass aftermarket hood is cheaper anyway as those OEM hoods where over 1500 painted.

I have an SS hood sitting in my garage which fits 93-97 models perfectly fine...I'll be putting on my 94 this summer.
