Default High RPM

Well I noticed I had a miss so I checked all my plugs and one was loose so i tightened it back up, made sure all the others were tight, triple checked the firing order, put everything back in and when I went to start it, it had a pretty strong start up but noticed it sounded like I revved it when it started and the RPM's stayed at 1500, Im going to get a new IAC soon and cleaned the MAP sensor, im a bit confused at this point, I know all the wires are correct and none are crossing, im going to get a scanner soon (they're pretty expensive) But I wanted to DIY it without one but reliazed that it would help to always have one on my sad. Any ideas?
