Default High Oil Pressure?

I don't know why I noticed this, but my oil pressure is at 75 PSI on my gauge when I am driving down the freeway 60 MPH at 2,000 RPM's. I always thought I remembered it at about 40 PSI (solidly). Maybe I am wrong, that's how I seem to remember it though. Any thoughts or suggestions? It isn't running any differently, and it isn't making any different noises.
I cant find anything here when I search oil pressure unless it is about low oil pressure.

In car gages are very inaccurate. Most complaints of high or low oil pressure with no other syptoms turn out to be the gage system itself. Verify the pressure with a hand held gage. 75 PSI is only a little high. I would not be surprise to see 60 PSI for real on a freash engine or one that had thick oil (10w50)

My oil pressure always read high, like pegged to the max high. The needle fluttered too. I replaced the oil sending unit and it doesn't flutter as much now and the pressure reads lower (reads around 60 when super hot). But still is somewhat high for the most part. I was told to not worry about it unless it reads way too low and just keep an eye on the oil level.

RSSS I can get you the sending unit for about $30 just let me know when you need it. After getting sick and what have you I didnt get fired... The DM would not let my boss fire me since this is the first time in 3 years that I had to call in sick. You should have about 40-50 lbs when warm.

Darling your engine should run about 60 all day long that is the optimum pressure for the 3.8L

Yeah, it should, but doesn't always. Usually stays high.
