Default high flow cat or cat delete

i have a 94 z28 with slp loudmouths. i want to do something with the CAT. should i do a high flow cat or a cat delete?

Will the CAT delete mess up the enging back pressure or screw with the computer?

thanks

welcome to the forum

we are the wrong people to ask. You need to find out if there are emissions tests done in your state. Next, most states frown upon tampering with smog stuff in vehicles. That is why you see some parts labeled as "off road" only although many of us use "off road only" parts in our street vehicles

You will get more bang from your buck with a set of long tube headers and y-pipe combo. If you are looking for power gains by messing with the cat..............save your pennies because it's not worth it unless you fix the clog in front of it (stock manifolds and y pipe)

about backpressure- there is no truth to the myths you've been "hearing". An exhaust can be tuned to perform at certain rpm's by doing things like lengthen/shorten primaries, collectors, diameter of pipe etc

but, you aren't even there because we're talking a street engine. You are fine with what the aftermarket has.......in fact, more than fine.

Oh man, not the back pressure thing again.
Here you go, this setup should give you all the back pressure you'd ever want: Dual Exhaust O-Pipe
