Default HID Fog lights

well lets keep it simple

ive got the angel eye mod which involves using what are technically foglights as headlights, well this definitely cuts down on lighting, especially with light covers

im wondering if i could

a. replace the bulbs in the angel eye lights with HID lights
or

b. just replace the stock fog light bulbs with HID bulbs for extra lighting which is what im leaning towards since the angel eye lights have the stupid blue lens (my reason for headlight covers)

i also like the HID look and with the fogs can i just plug the ones you buy at the store for around $50 into the stock foglight plug wires?

If the housings are small, do NOT go for the 55 Watt HIDs, unless you want some melting...

i have a grill over my fogs and i liek the stock ones cause they fit pretty well under it and you pretty much cant see them unless there on

I tried and it didnt work, but I wont say it cant work- Stupid blue ring? thought that was the point? Or did i miss something? What lenses do you use? i ask only because I painted my smoke ones white so I never run them on at night- oh ya and its illegal here, lol.

i reread your post- like I said I tried (well asked every place i went) if they had HIDS for the center- mine dont work- go figure- since they are on the high beams i just go without. I used pilot LED fog lights- same shape, i have the grill to- cant tell from the pic, but mine change color if i wanted so I couldnt use the factory harness.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

i got it all figured out, just got the 55 wat hids and run them without the covers at night to prevent melting ...oh well

and its the blue lens i dont like not the blue rings

like i wish you could buy the lights without the tinted blue lens the only thing worse than fake hids is even faker hids lol

i think ive got a lighting obsession, now im thinkin about some audi style lights under the covers for daytime running with the halos (picture)

idk whether itd look good though, id run them along the bottom part of the cut out (the whole outline of the cutout except the hood)

Now that id EXACTLY what I was gonna do to mine- I bought white not blue so those are going around my subs. I added blue side markers. I have the 7 color LED side flashers (not installed) interior blue LED bars acroos the back, unseen except for slight glow, AND more to come. i agree about the lenses- I so understand now- sorry- I'm adding the outter halos after my inspection at the end of the moth, first i have to figure out a way around my red tint (which measures over 20%- the state law) color matters- Kiss this!!
