Hey Guys I'm from mustang forums and just had a few questions.

I recently got my winter project. Its a 01 camaro which I'm attempting to give it the 69' appearance with the front nose and rear sheet metal.

Anyways, I was just curious if the c06 corvette engine would fit in this body. My friend has one that was hit in the rear and I might be able to get the engine for a good deal.

I believe the C6 Vette is an LS2 or LS7 so yes it will fit. The stock Z28 came with an LS1

 

They're both based on the LSX block, so you should be good to go, although if my memory serves me correctly (and sometimes it doesn't [&:]) I believe the Gen IV (LS2/LS3/LS7 etc.) have slightly taller heads than their predecessors. You shouldn't have any clearance issues, but it may be something to keep in the back of your mind.
