Default Hey everyone, new here. Have a quick question!

So I've owned two third gen camaros for almost six years now. I want to buy my first fourth gen, possibley an LT1 from 94-97. I looked at the KBB for these cars and then looked at the going prices on auto trader etc. Seems like the KBB value is thousands less than what people are selling them for. Any reason why? I know they're fourth gens and amazing cars but just wondered if anyone had a particular reason :P

estimated value and real value are two different things. I paid over blue book for mine. just be sure its a nice car and if your slick u may be able to use the lower kbb price to talk them down.

Yeah thats what I was thinking Roach. I'll bring up KBB just as a bargaining tool. I found one that seems to be in great condition so hopefully everything will go well. Thanks again!

Most dealships will ask more than the market value to make you think you are getting a deal when they drop the car to the area's fair market Value. Be careful tho some steelerships think that any camaro (and mustang for that matter) is an elite car that carries a premium price. Make sure EVERYTHING on the car works, slow windows are not uncommon and they prolly will not fix them but that is part of owning anything with power windows.

"Asking ain't gettin". Keep an eye on those cars that are higher priced, they'll probably be on the market for a good while until the seller gets his head out of the clouds (or somewhere else).

any particular reason you want an lt-1 car? i love my lt1, but the ls1 is a more current platform. plus you won't have to worry about an opti-spark, lol.
