Just came across this forum and have a couple questions about Camaro's.

First I am a Chevy Guy plain and simple. Always loved the Camaro Just never had one. Now I have the chance. A friend of mine is really strapped for cash and has offered me their 93 Camaro for $500 bucks. The car has 120K on it and from what I am being told over the phone is Good Mechanically (but we'll see) Needs a front fender and some new front tires. I am not looking to Hot Rod it (I don’t think LOL) Hell I don’t even know if I am going to keep it or turn around and flip it. Minus normal wear and tear on cars. Is their anything specific to this year and make to look for? It has a V6 (Boo) LOL. Never really worked on an LT1 or LS1 or what ever is inside it. I am more of a 327, 350, 454 kind of guy. This is not something I want to throw a whole lot of money at (my other toys do a good job of that)

lt1 is a 350 ls1 is similar at 346. 1993 camaro v6 will have a 3.4 v6. Common problems include faulty window motors, leaking ttops, and weird suspension noises. I''m not to familiar with the 3.4 but somebody will chime in.

 

if your thinkin of throwin a lt1 in it real easy and cheap,,, dont. from what little i know of you and judging by the picture i would say keep lookin. you would not be happy with a 3.4.

 

I may not even keep it. I may flip it if. I dont plan on putting any motors in it!

 

well then thats different. first check out how much a base 93 will go for in your area. it may be that you will put 3k into a car that will not sell for more than 2500. otherwise go for it.
