Unhappy Help Please!!

My 1993 chevy camaro is knocking...it was knocking loud until i did the oil change now its not as loud. knocks harder and faster when i hit the gas. My gut is telling me it is a loose lifter. I really dont know much bout cars... please help me save my baby before it poops the bed. I dont want to loose my car and dont trust the shops around here...

Im having the same problem with my 81 z28 i removed the valve covers and discovered some of them were loose-iI also took it to a shop and they made sure i had oil pressure-the mechanic also told me it might be a wrist pin

Im still in the process of getting this fixed-I tightened the lifters and im afraid it is only a temporary fix because after going over 2500 rpms the knocking comes back more over time

is it ticking or knocking? can you hear it better from under the hood or under the car?

How do you tighten lifters? Do you mean Rocker Arms?

i have always finished with a final setting with the engine running. get them close with the not running way first so engine will run half way decent then set while running. every time at least one of them is not set right.
