Help needed with fuel injectors
I’m trying to figure out how to take off and clean my fuel injectors I think I have one sticking open because I am getting to much fuel to my engine at first I thought I wasn’t getting any spark from the spark plugs because the person who owned it before me had all the wires crossed and going to the wrong spark plugs so I fix that replaced the spark plugs replaced the coil packs and replaced the ignition control but I’m still having my issue I’m also changing the wires for the spark plugs if you have any videos or how to guides I would love to see them feel free to email or message them to me
I have a 3.4L V6 and I’m having gas mix with my oil and a lot of back fire and did some research and found that a fuel injector sticking open could be the source I already changed the spark plugs wires and coil pack along with the ICM
Your going to have to pull the fuel rail and the upper intake manifold. I replaced my injectors last year. A good idea is to replace your valve cover gaskets while your there. A couple of my injectors rusted all the way through and leaked fuel. They were original with around 235k miles on them. The biggest issue i had was locating the o-ring for the fuel lines into the manifold. I think (dont quote me) i found them in a o-ring kit at harbor freight.
check fuel pressure, high or low fuel pressure can cause rich condition. do a search for injector shop in your area and see what comes up. injector shop can clean and flow test them for you.
also if you haven't yet go here and download factory service manual for your year. https://www.mediafire.com/?40mfgeoe4ctti
