Just google 1997 RS camaro and go in pics. Here's an example.

Taken on the net, maybe belongs to someone here.
The rear disks brakes are not part of the RS package. The RS is a appearance package only. (Ground effects, rear spoiler and badges) The disks are part of the Y87 package. There has been some debate on other sites if the RS got the V8 rack and pinion but I have yet to see any documents from GM saying the RS had the close ratio rack.

Is there any way of finding out other than taking it to a dealer or something? I want to start upgrading but just wanna know what's already been done.

Some of the younger guys at the dealership will not know your car as well as some of the guys on this site. Start a thread here and post pics of anything you have a question of. If it is after market we will let you now. Heck if a bracket is bent or a wire is routed wrong someone will chime in.

FYI all 4th gen Camaros have muti point fuel injection. Even the v6s. Direct port injection would mean it has a custom made fuel injection system the injected fuel directly into the cylinder. A system like that could easily cost 15K to have made. Putting it on a car with less than 600Hp would be a waste of money.
