Ok i know a guy that has a 1999 Camaro SS that he is looking to sell to me. The car literally has about 12000 miles on it tops and is the limited hugger orange with chrome 5 spoke wheels... he also says that with the hugger orange and the interior/whole package of the car, its about one of 10 or so that were made in 99. It is in mint condition and has never even seen the rain or snow. He runs it about once a month and details it after every drive. I was wonderin what you guys think it is worth...

Also just another side question. Would it be a bad idea to have an electronic cutout on my exhaust if it was just a stock system? So i could go from stock sound to the cut out whenever. Are there any other mods that kinda have to go with the cut out?

There were 375 Hugger Orange SS cars produced in 1999. With even those production numbers I would say it's a collectors item, if it truly is 1 of 10 I wouldn't touch it with mods. If you're looking for something to modify anyway I wouldn't start out with a low production number vehicle because it's going to have a price premium with it. Just my $0.02

 

To be frank, a "collector colour" seems a bit over the top to me. I would refuse any price over about $17000, and that's pushing it a bit, I think.

 

its not just a collector color, it has 12000 miles on it and is in immaculate condition. Im not paying for just the color ya know. And yeah i see what youre sayin 95z28, im not going to touch it with mods if i end up getting it. It already has a cut out on it.

 

Haha here in Canada there's an SS in Winnipeg (looks beautiful mind you) running for $40,000. Cars here have so much higher based values. The average Z28 around my province goes from 12-16k. average. Higher ones run up to 22-24k
