Default Help me decide 94 z28 or 2002 z28

I know that the 2002 would be a better choice because newer, ls1, and more. However, the 94 z28 is M6 with 80k miles while the 2002 z28 is sitting with an A4 at 135k miles. I prefer a M6 over A4 ,but finding a M6 98-02 is impossible where I live. I plan to use the vehicle as a daily.

price makes a difference too ,I would go for the 94 if the price is like 4k ,the 02 about the same price mabey $3500.00 if there asking more move on ,how many owners an shape also can add a few hundered ,but the 4 th gens should be had for a good price, dont over pay I got my 95 with 69k for $4500.00 an there is better deals then that ,too, fall is the best time to buy if you live up north,an where you live can sometimes make a difference ,but not a lot

It's a t top, and having a t top is a must for me. I don't care if they leak in the future, I can always replace the weather stripping etc.

I've never regretted a car purchase, only the car I wanted and passed on was my regret, I think u should get the one you like best quality being equal, both engines last if well maintained, I prefer the lt1 Body better but the lure of better faster would make me consider LS1??? Anyways, u likely will b happy either way, but don't agonize over it u gotta like one better than the other..... good luck

I know everyone says the ls1 is better BUT I own a c5 vette and a LT1 fbody, and honestly, i prefer the low end torque the older lt1 provides. Maybe thats just me though..

I've heard that the lt1's low end torque makes you feel faster than a ls1. The ls1 is going to be faster but, the lt1 really gives you that neck breaking feeling.

if the miles on the ls1 engine were lower I would say go for it I had an lt1 no difference in torq actually the 02 would have both more hp an tlbs,an is the far better engine most guys will say ,thats why you can buy an lt1 for 500.00 to $1000.00 an the ls1 goes for $3500.00 used the 02 has over 300 hp an over 300tlbs where as the 94 has 275hp an 285tlbs they say to crank ,but I think its wheels an feel there both underated ,or it felt like it to me in my lt1 ,my head seal went on the lt1 at 99k an could have been fixed there tough but the ls1 I think is the better engine, though it is iron vs aluminum iron is stronger an can take more heat aluminum lighter bit weaker for heat ,mabey its just I would like to try one , the lt1 had its share of problems so I think its why they moved on to the ls1,i have not drove an ls1 but have friends that got them an love them ,they say the stock bottom end of the ls1 can handle over 500hp an there is so much one can do with them to,on a personal note I love my 406 an near 200tlbs over the lt1 feels like night an day ,I need to dyno mine one day to see what the numbers are ,its a torq monster an the gas milage is bad but I love it
