I have a 96 v6 Camaro and I got the whole coolant flushed out about a month or so back. After that the car operated at about 185 degrees. Then it started having problems getting up to like 230-240 degrees. So I put in an AC Delco thermostat thinking that would help. It didn't really do much. I checked the coolant level and everything seems fine. Could it be the radiator going bad? Could the fans be not operating properly?

Mine temp gauge rarely moves, unless im at a stoplight or at idle for a while. Once the car gets moving it goes right back now.

 

mine does the same thing but if yur engine is a mid temp
it gets good gas milage and runs a lot better!
