Have you flushed the radiator, bleed the system? Are your fans working?

have u scanned for trouble codes? auto or manual trans?

DrQuincy 04-12-2010 10:41 AM

It is common for the temperature gauge to fluctuate quite a bit while in use, according to other posters here. This was something that concerned me early on, also. The stock thermostat begins to open at about 180F, but the fans don't start kicking on until about 215F. Please correct this if I am mistaken -- this information has been gleaned from the pages of this forum during my six months of ownership...

This has been brought up before, is your front lower air dam still there? It's purpose is to scoop up air while cruising to cool off the engine/cooling system.

i dont think the air dam is there it just goes under the front of the car and stops before it gets under the radiatior and has holes in it i was wondering if something was missing. i guess i need to find out what goes under there. thanks kirk

Take a look at this pic. See the part hanging down below the front nose?
