Help with camshaft selection!
Hey everyone, so from one of my recents posts in the past, I talked about getting my full exhaust. I did! I currently run pacesetter LT's, ORY, and magnaflow cat back 3" all the way.
Now I'm looking too add some more power and a nice choppy sound to my 1996 z28 m6 lt1 with 80k of miles. Keep in mind that I am looking for a cam that will not eat up my engine rarely quickly as it is a daily driver and I need to find a cam that won't kill my gas easy. Any one mind suggesting cams for a stock engine? I'm also looking into Lloyd elliots packages.

What else would I need to buy to go with the heads? His website says ready to bolt on, but don't I need other things that go under the heads or even in the heads?

hardened pushrods and maybe some better rocker arms. i used 1.6 rollers to gain a little more lift. if you tell elliott what you are wanting to do he will tell you what you need.

you want hp one of the best ways to get more hp at not a lot of cost is to port an polish the the heads an get about 40hp ,then go with a just over stock cam an your daily driver has more hp,

223/231 .557/.571 110 LSA. He said it would give me tons of mid range torque. Also recommend me to purchase 4.11 gears. Only thing I want to figure out now is, how can I find a clutch that is like mines again. I've drove other maros and I have to let the clutch out pretty far in order for it to move, unlike mines I barely begin to release the clutch and it's ready to go. Any help with this?

sounds like the master or slave cylinder may be going. or you have lots of clutch left to use. lol. could be air in system too. assuming you do mostly city driving 411 should be ok. lol nowdays freeway is slower than city so i could be wrong. probly work fine all around.

An OE style clutch will should keep your engagement where it's out now. The '97 M6 I have releases fairly quickly and it's got a newer clutch in it. The old one that was in it was worn out and didn't release till about 1/2 up.
