RE: Hello!- 95-Z28 Pics
I have thought about a few different setups, but I'd still like to be able to pass emissions back in MA if I ever have to. Thus, the catback seems like the best option. Love the car Cran.

Thanks man.
If emissions need to be passed, then yeah, that is the way to go.
Fortunately for me, people only need to get tested for emissions depending what county they are in, it's not based on the entire state. So at my current address I wold have to, but I registered the car at my Parents house, and I don't need to, hence the True duals.

It is really strange how much emissions requirements vary from state to state, and even from county to county. So the question remains; what is therecommendation of everyone here as to a catback option? What are your opinions on the SLP setup?

I had a LM in my old LT1. I was on a budget and had a Borla 3" Ypipe connected to the exhaust manifolds that flowed straight through to the LM. Very loud! I loved it. A little raspy, but who cares. It was also a similar color to yours with the same wheels! I miss it:

These three exhausts are the only ones that fit DUAL CAT models thatI see listed on Summit's website, although I see the SLP setup in the magazine. I'm not sure if that one in the mag fits the dual cat models, as it's not even listed on the site. It seems like there are a few less options for a catback with a factorydual cat (CA)car. Outof these three, which do youguys like best? I actually think I like the looks of the Hooker setup the best.

As far as the catbacks go here is what the general consensous is on these:
Borla: Very nice looking, Stainless steel, sounds very good. But waaaaaay over priced for what it does, can get the same or more power from a much cheaper system. Unless you have to have top of the line name brand ...then skip this.
Corsa: Probably best looking of them all, the rest is a copy and paste from the Borla system.
Magnaflow: Stainless, looks good, sounds good, mid priced. Nothing really bad to say except it does not out flow SLP
SLP: Stainless, mid priced, looks ok, the loudest and best flowing of them all, due to the fact that SLP uses a bullet muffler which is really just a straight pipe with absolutely nothing in it. It may be to "raspy" for some.
Flowmaster: Cheap, sounds ok, looks so-so. I believe its NOT stainless. Robs power
Hooker: Looks decent, sounds good at WOT, best budget system out there. Is not stainless, and will rust out eventually.
Avoid: Random Technology, MAC systems and in house systems such as Summit's and Jeg's ...etc.
Honestly I would get either the Magnaflow or the SLP. If on a tight budget then the Hooker system for sure.
some links to help you get started. Also look on Ebay for the system you end up choosing....:

I think I'm going to end up going with the Hooker setup; I've had flows before on several other cars and want to try something new- andrust is not a real issue in Las Vegas due to the almostcompletely dry climate. That hood has also given me good ideas for the look I want the car to have Zoilus- you havehad some nice rides. [sm=gears.gif]
