You have to buy the entire unit for each headlamp; once you do, however, they're fairly easy to install. I bought mine for about 24.99 for each unit. You can also buy units that have replaceable bulbs for the future.

I know the car is set to automatically turn off the fog lights when the brights are on... I'm not sure if that's changeable without re-wiring.

You can just replace the bulbs. See my sticky in the Exterior section.

It really depends on if he has stock or not. Before I acquired my Camaro, the guy had put a different set of headlights in my car that could not have the bulbs replaced.

Go to the Exterior section, and see my sticky. It shows you how to take and replace the bulbs in the sealed beam. Doesn't matter if it is stock or not.

"Stock" is non-replacable sealed beam bulbs. All bulbs you get from normal auto parts stores are going to be the same sealed beam, meaning glass and all is replaced. You can take them apart like 02Stang said, not hard. No Camaro 93-97 came from the factory only requiring bulb replacement, all of them had sealed beams.

This is actually a legality issue. Technically you're only allowed to have 4 filaments lit at any give time on the front of your car. If you had on brights (2), regulars (2) and fogs (2) you would be over the legal limit. That said, it should be possible to rewire the fogs, but that's the only way to get it done.
