Default Headers installed, now cam!

I got pacesetter longtubes installed with their ypipe. Now, I have the intake and exaust done, I want a mild cam. I still think I want the lt4 hot cam kit. The reason is, I only drive my car on the street, I might take it to the track. If I did, I would only want a high 12, like a 12.9, or a 13.00.

My question is, If I buy the hotcam kit myself and take it to a performance shop for installation, is there anything else I would need to buy? Or is everything included in the kit?

Thanks!

P.s. I think I asked this before, so if I did, Redirect me!

I forgot to add... Would I need a small stall? I would foot brake the stall. If that matters. Lol.. I'm a nub

The car is basically a 14 second car, you are asking a lot from headers and a mild cam. To really get into the 12s you will most likely need better heads and a stronger cam than the GM hot cam.
Torque converters are funny things as the stall speed depends a lot on engine power, so figure out how much power the engine is going to produce, and the get a converter that will stall around 3000 to 4000 RPM. A change in rear end gearing will most likely be needed to get into the 12s.

Ok cool. Just seeing my options. But want the cheapest way there. I'm down for a low 13 sec car. 13.00-13.3. Would that be possible?

Go with this cam. The LT4 Hotcam is for those that don't know what a good cam is.

But what would I need to use that cam? If I was to buy everything separately I think I would go cc503. Or is that cam better? I like alot of low and midrange power. Where you get thrown back in your seat. How much power would that get me? I don't have enough money to upgrade my 4l60e...

There's nothing wrong with the Hotcam. I understand that there are better do-it-yourself cam setups out there, but you can't beat it for a street friendly car to be used as a daily driver.

Look at the dyno graphs, peak power is at ~5700 for a Hotcam compared to the CC's out there. It's a great leap in performance for the price and you don't have to rev your stock bottom end to death to go anywhere. It may not be the greatest leap, but it's the best value (especially because it comes with just about everything you'd absolutely need).

The cam that I listed is better in every way than the Hotcam. Read the specs. This cam provides great drivability and provides more power. Like I said, the Hotcam is for those that don't know what a good cam is.

I'm saving up fr a stall and a cam. I want more power than the hot cam gives. I'm saving up $2500, im at $500...

I'm making $1200 a month at 16 years old, so I can get it pretty fast.
