Smile Head Light questions

Hey everyone,
I was just wondering i haven't got my Haynes book yet. But I was wondering if someone knows id the head lights and high beams were just basically driving lights and fog lights like you see at any parts store. Cus I am doing a completely look of my own cus my town has a bunch of the same cars. I saw a 4th gen but the guy had gotten rid of the stock lights and replaced them with this hid Round lights? any answers would love to hear..

Look if this works:

If you are thinking about using fog lights for the headlamps I would think again. Fog lamps have a lower wattage than the heads do and they also have a different focal point. Fogs are designed to be a 45watt (max) with a wide dispersal for illuminating the reflective material in the painted lines on the road. Low beams are 55W (max) narrow focus bulbs that have a reflector on the tip of the bulb that not only dims the forward beam but it also ads to the focus of the beam. The high beams are 55W (max) wide focus bulb with no reflector on the bulb, this allows for a higher aim, seemingly brighter bulb.

So if you are looking for some custom beams look to the aftermarket headlamps not the fog lamps.

I put fog lights as my headlights. Only reason why i did it because my stock headlight brackets were broken on one side so for a while, i was driving around with crooked and 1 broken headlights. I did the angel eye mod with 4 Fog lamps and they work very well, but theres not much difference between my low and high beams, no worries though, its bright enough for me to see with just low.

Yeah anymore if you buy your car and want to make it a little diff and to your liking someone else in your area either has done it or will be doing it. But you gotta forget about it and Build your car the way you want it to perform and look. You can only do so much.
