Hazard light help
So When i bought my 95 Camaro some of the material covering was missing off the steering column on the top(this where the hazard light button was?) and there are just some exposed wiring etc. One night I was leaving my GF's house and noticed a screw not screwed in all the way on the side of the column. My first thought was 'Ok this could be a problem' so I took out my drill and drilled it back in but in doing so my hazards came on and wont stop even with the car off(I then undrilled the screw)..hazards still on... I resorted to pulling the Hazard Unit from the bottom of the knew bolster but now my blinkers wont work(which I need to pass inspection). Did I trip a wire or something when I drilled the screw in? I need some help :/

Oh and if someone can give me a tip on how to fix the column or where to buy a new one from please let me know. Dont see why the guy before me tore up the steering wheel..bastard.

he probably put the screw there where the hazard switch was so that he could still use his hazards. try acting like the screw is the actual button and press or pull it but not too hard and see if it turns them off. if it was me just seeing how torn up it is, id just replace the whole column. its not that hard to do just a few brackets and some wires

Tried the press down method and it didnt work, I might just have to get a new column and have someone look at the wiring..
