Having some 3.8 problems! HELP!

Default Having some 3.8 problems! HELP!

We just got done fixing a bad intake gasket leak and now its running pretty rough and is also very doggy no matter what temp its!Its kind of hard to explian but it want to surge forward with every stroke of the engine at low RPMs and at idle it shakes the hole car! Any ideas would be great! Oh and by the way I am a newby so I need a little help with some the short terms!

You dint fix. You created a vacuum leak. Get some starting fluid and spray around the intake til the rpms rise. There will be your vacuum leak.

Nope I sprayed all over that engine and it didnt waverone way or another! any thing else that you guys can think of? Im pretty good when come to my old car but when it comes to these new cars im kind of a newb!

To make sure there is a vacuum leak you are going to have to use a vacuum gauge to read if anything is off. After that keep spraying starting fluid til the rpms go up. If you still can't dnd It thej get some soap and water and put all along the intake. Turn the car own and look for bubbles. It takes a while but trust me if there is a leak then starting fluid will make it rev up. It took me a whole day to find mine.

sounds to me like you may have gotten the plugs wired wrong. Double check them to make sure. On the 3.8L the #1 is front left (driver's side) and on the 3.4 is it is front right.
