Default Halo Headlights

My headlights are all yellow and nasty looking. I saw some of these on EBAY and I thought they looked pretty sweet! Does anyone have any experience with these? I don't want to drop $200 on some pieces of crap...

Welcome to the forum. If you want a different color, you could probably just get some new bulbs. It would be a lot cheaper.

yeah, but it's not really just about the little LED halo thing, I also like the black background. Plus the lens on my current headlights are so hazed and crap that you can barely even see through them. I just want to hear from someone who has tried these first...

I misunderstood you. I thought the lights were ugly yellow, not the lenses. Right. What color is your car? I've seen them on a V6 car near where I work. They don't look bad, but I think they work best on a light colored car with black rims.

I'm personally not much of a fan of them, but if you like them *shrug*

someone posted something to clean the lenses and make them re-clear with some polish, I would assume Meguiars #9 would work pretty well...

Yeah my car is silver with black rims and limo-black tint. =) So I think these will look pretty sick. I'll try to polish the stock ones, but I really would like some black ones. The halo part is kinda cool too (though the LED strip is pretty gay so I'll turn that off...). Do you guys know if I can just buy these halos and pop in some blue-ish xenon or halogen bulbs or whatever?

I have some on my mountaineer, and so far they work great. g2motorsports is the company I think. I replaced the bulbs in the projector with HID, and they do look pretty.

Sweet. How much are the HIDs? And how good was the light output before them?

i installed the Hids before i put the headlights. hids cost vary quite a bit. vleds.com is where i got mine, or try sharphid.com. they're a sponsor on the wrx forum i'm on.

I bought my HIDs for my Truck from HIDgate on Ebay. Around $70 shipped. Haven't had a problem yet.
