gutting a opti?

i got a brand new opti for a 96 and upcamaro someone gave me for free but the opti on my 94 went out can i gut out it out and put it into my 94 opti and then silcone it?

I don't believe so, although internally they're mostly the same, I believe the cam dowel is a different length between the two models and thus the receiving end of the opti is going to be different as well.

yeah man to do it, you have to buy like everything located on the front of the cam and crankshaft out of the newer style opti setup. it priced it out once and it costs around a grand. there are quite a few forums on it, they all have a detailed list of every single part

He isn't wanting do to the full front cover conversion, he's just wanting to swap the inside of the opti's which isn't going to work for him.

You either need to get an opti for your 94 or do the whole conversion.
