does anyone know where the ground from the negative cable goes? there are two wires that go off the negative cable, one is a chassis ground and the other has split loom around it and im not sure where it grounds. oh p.s. never let someone else touch your stuff and let them go to jail

thats the thing. i dont know what to check for. anyone have ideas which wires go where on the starter? ive got 3 wires there a small one coming off the same harness as the sensor that goes into the block. i believe a coolant temp. sensor. i have the positive wire and i have a weird looking braided ground wire that comes off the chassis. not sure how they are suppose to be attatched. everytime i go to crank it nothing happens.
