Got my New EGR
Well my EGR finally came today in the mail. Just got a few questions before i through it on.
It didnt come with a gasket, can i just get one at like a Checker?
Is it as cut and dry as it looks?
Will the SES turn go off on its own? If not, how do i get it off, and do i do it before or after i put on the new EGR?
Thanks, some of these are probably no brainers, but i want to know completely before i tear into something again.

To my knowledge the EGR doesn't have gaskets. The only place that it could is where it connects to the back of the intake manifold, but that's the only component of mine that I haven't messed with (yet). Replacing the EGR is as cut and dry as it looks, unscrew the old one, screw the new one on, you're good to go. Of course it's going to take you about twice as long as you'd like to think, but that's the way these things usually go. If the EGR is the only thing that's making the SES light turn on, then yes it should recognize that there is no longer a problem and the PCM will clear the code and the light should turn off. Good luck!
