Spartan, since your car is a 94 you have to get the Opti version I, version II has a whole different front cover and other pieces to draw moisture out. That didn't start until 1995.

No, they don't make a version like that for the 94. If you want you can get the 95+ front cover and all the vaccum equipment, it's possible, but a good amount of work and money.

Spec: no i didnt cause a scene because they know i work across the street at Ford and they know my managers and they are both fighting right now because chevy put a flippin big old poster right infront of our main entrance so that our customers see it as they leave... all because we are on the freeway side of the road and we put a big banner up that you could see from the free way and when chevy asked us to take it down we said no.... sooo... i didnt want to **** anyone off who i may be getting parts/service from in the future... besides ill swap some stuff out and tell em the knock is gone and get my money... no need to burn bridges. I may decide to be a tech there when i graduate college.

Yenk: They said it was just an exhaust leak and didnt even appear to be coming from the valves.

95: So i can basically bend over and let the opti screw me for as long as i own the car unless i want to do the conversion?

Yes...in essence. Or you can be careful and do the work carefully and make sure your water pump is sealed correctly and be careful with washing out your engine bay and you should be fine.

Sure if you get it towed to a carwash, not worth it in my opinion when you can use some 409 and a sponge to get stuff cleaned up, but yes you can.
