Default got an idea

so ive been thinking about forced induction and how expensive it is to do. so why arnt we using electric to spool some air... ohh its because the power would need to increase with rpms... so this is where my idea starts. our cars have electric gauges which need different signals to show different amounts. if we look at the tach somewhere in the wiring theres a signal wire that we can splice into then run that to a simple converter that can change the signals to voltage to send to the fan (say every 500 rpm). causing the fan to speed up with rpm. then all that would need to be figured out would be what the intake speed is at say idle 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and full throttle than just increase the speed of the fan to produce boost... no need for an intercooler since your not hooked to the exhaust. just need a way to adjust fuel and a bov

maybe this has been done before or maybe its really stupid, thoughts???

You're describing an electric supercharger. Those things are eBay crap that do nothing but restrict airflow.

so ive been doing some research and its not really possible to run a powerful enough fan to create any boost (60 amps or so) since thats almost maxing out the alt... in short this idea sux lol

ohh those ebay superchargers are only 6 or 7 amps which is about 84 watts and they only put out like 150-250 cfm your engine takes in around 500 (for a V8)

The electrical draw from a massive fan will take its toll on the engine because you'll need a tough alternator to produce enough current. Electric motors for forced induction will fail much sooner than a mechanical device such as a belt driven supercharger.

Those electric fan "superchargers" are just that, a fan that blows air. An actual supercharger is a compressor, ain't gonna get the kind of action you want with a 12 volt fan.

I was thinking 120v (I have a powerconverter) I'm not worried about making boost I know it could do it the issue would be supplying 60 amps to it

A power converter isn't going to handle the amps you'll need. A roof mounted generator would work. That, or a looooooooong extension cord.
