Not the best idea...but he could just replace the bulbs without replacing the whole housing. I did (and I know they're sealed beams) and haven't had any trouble. Just gotta make sure you put something around the bulb to prevent moisture from entering the housing.

Also, I think torque was just suggesting something to spruce up the interior.

 

$600 car won't have "very good interior"

headlights are a functional item. Spruce up where you spend the most time and then focus on headlights, decals etc
