Exclamation Good price for SLP sway bars?

I just located a set (front and rear) of SLP sway bars from a firehawk I believe the dimensions are 35mm solid front and 21mm hollow rear.

$125 for both??

If its a good deal i'll pick them up tonight - I'm currently installing a complete poly bushing kit on my car but I might as well beef up the sway bars while i have them off already. Pretty sure I'll have to order new poly bushings and brakets for the SLP setup, not a big deal though.

I own a 1998 3800

That's a damn good deal, some sways (at least decent) go for 100+ for just the front or rear, SLP is a widely known brand

These new? The hollow bars have a limited life. 35MM is a lot of weight. The SS came with 32 hollows in the front.

Gorn is right, I forgot to ask what condition they were in and if they're either new or already been maintained on the SS

Used. I think they came as an original suspension option, along with eibach shocks/springs. I'm still new to the camaro world, so I dont really know. They look like there in pretty good shape according to the pictures.

I've looked around on many sites, Including SLP and ebay. Doesnt look like slp sells sway bars for our cars. Gotta be original, unless its something that has been discontinued

I have never heard of SLP or GM putting a 35 MM sway bar on any Camaro. The only 35 MM I have ever seen are aftermarket. Also, if I remember right you can go too large in the back and cause the car to spin out. There are a few guys on this site that know about this stuff hopefully one will check in. I am thinking the max size was 19MM. I first read about it on a autocross sight.

The Firehawk is not the same as an SS Camaro; WS6=SS is more correct. Firehawk's had a lot of options that the buyer could get from SLP. One of the options (also available on SLP SS I believe) is the 1LE option which would include Koni shocks (except on verts), hollow 35mm front sways, 21mm rear sways and stiffer bushings on upper and lower control arms.

I got sway bars off a 98 SS someone was parting out for $90. they are 32mm front and 19mm rear, which work great.

Yep, the SLP 1LE SS had 35mm front, 21mm rear -- if you need verification, check with Sam Strano, he's talked about the original options produced on LS1Tech... Do a search
