Default Is this a good deal?

Local dealer has a red 2000 Convertible Camaro for $7995 with 42,255 miles. I looked at the book value for it and it said its usually worth around $10k.

Here's the link to the dealer and car Greeley, Colorado 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Base Used Convertible Fort Collins, Colorado Loveland, Colorado Ehrlich Toyota & Scion

I want to buy a new Camaro in the future but can't afford it for a couple years so I thought this would be good until then. I actually had a 2011 but financing fell through after a week of me taking it home

looks good to me id get a carfax on it just in case. also pull the oil dipstick if its "burnt" that usually means the oil wasnt changed on time. also check out the trans dipstick for metal or burnt take a look i the rad... you know the usual, fluids can tell you alot about the cars past and most dealers are too cheap to change that stuff... btw the wheels are AWESOME lol they actually look alot like mine

$8000 for a 3.8l sounds a little to pricey. If you can get them down to $6000 then go for it.

I looked at the carfax and it all looked good, first owner was a rental company if that matters? unfortunately i'm terrible at haggling but I've bought two cars off this dealer so maybe they will give me a deal. Thanks for the suggestions

when haggling you need to remember that its just a car and you dont need it... go in with that attitude and if you can get cash that will help alot

my dad bought my mom a 95 aurora they wanted 13995 my dad went in with the attitude that he didnt need that specific car (and a check for 8k) my dad offered 8 dealer said no and my dad left the next day they called and said they could do 10 my dad said hes all set another 2 days and they called saying theyll take 8... granted there was more to it than that but dealers loose money everyday they have a car sit on there lot

ohh did i mention the car only had 31k on it in 02 nothing like getting the car 6k less than they asked

dont forget cash talks and its a loud sob

Not sure how the prices are in your area, but I paid $8300 for my 2000 SS Convertible with 63k a few months ago....seems expensive for a 3.8l auto.
