Beware of the looks of hoods on ebay sometimes people are selling a hood that looks like amerihood but is not ,they steal the pictures from others ,?carid has a $259.00 hood on ebay ,did you check the shipping rate ,have not heard of them haveing a hood that cheap ,an something about carid i have found is there shipping can be more then the cost of the item ,i noticed a few years ago with some parts there price was fine then the shipping was like whatsometimes you get what you pay for ,an sometimes you luck out kinda

well i would say check part numbers for gm ,though there aftermarket hood will have a different part number a good hood maker will have a gm part number next to theres, call people look at there reviews ,an plan on spending $500.00 or more depending on shipping, too ,average shipping is $150.00,so if one has a hood $500,00 free shipping check out there reviews ,talk to them ,

No matter who you buy from, you're going to need to do SOME work to it.
I've had good luck with VFN's stuff over the years and only recently switched from their sunoco hood on my car to carbon fiber version due to weight.
I'd check with VFN fiberglass

yes like one of the biggest problems is a gap from the hood to the nose requires haveing too loosen up the nose to make it meet the hood with min an 1/8th inch gap 1/16th is better but need space for movement from hot to cold weather ,many guys get there with half inch gap up front wich is tacky ,with mine we used alot of washers to make it acceptable ,then the depth of your hood thickness wont be the same an the hood hinges may need triming like mine did ,then your fenders as well may also need some sort of adjusting then there is the latch for up an down ,aftermarket even oem hoods can be a bish to fit is why most guys have a body shop do it,or have friend that does body work help you is what i did ,an we got alot of shims or washers in that front end ,and its not perfect with a 22 year old car but close ,post some pictures of your car what ?year is it i see alot of post by you but nothing about the year only that it seems you got a 98-02 bace car
