Default Fuel pressure question

when i turn ignition ON engine OFF i get about 47psi fuel pressure, however after about 5 seconds it starts to drop off and within 25 seconds its down to about 30 psi.

Is this normal?

Trying to diagnose a slow start issue - once its running its perfect, but at random it takes a good 5 seconds of turning over before it starts. No missfires, no codes.

Once running, fuel pressure readings are correct and within range.

While we are at it, can someone confirm this leak is the pinion bearing seal?

kinda normal for some pressure to bleed off. not all do it. usually fuel pump back flow valve is not sealing but can be a injector or fuel pressure regulator. the rear i would clean everything up to make sure its not running down the torque bar from trans or engine. stupid drain plugs on mine dont like to seal so i get some of that if i dont pay attention.

Thanks mate. Its definitely diff oil. I might just clean and leave it since its pretty small.

There was fuel in the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator, so think i'll replace that since its cheap and easy and go from there.
