Fuel Pressure 94 3.4 V6

What is the fuel pressure suppose to be in a 94 V6?

MKCoconuts Mar 15, 2014 03:23 PM

Key on, engine not running should be between 41-47 psi. Running should drop 3 to 10 psi

Tested at around 36-38 at idle after start up a little driving. Went to 43-45ish i think with revs.

So you're within specs.

Still getting bad mileage though. Had 150 for a full tank to empty.

When was the last tune up? Could also try modifying your driving habits. A good fuel cleaner may help slightly.

woh 8-9 mpg,,, maybe a plugged cat, have you had it scanned for trouble codes?

Mikeroc283 Mar 16, 2014 03:44 PM

inside of the cat doesnt exist. wont scan i tried already with the scanner at work. Plugs were changed in october after i got the car, wires were replaced mid last month with 8.2mm taylors i ordered from summit, changed the coils because i did research and called for factory replacement specs which were LOWER than the accel's i installed. Any thoughts on the map sensor causing some of the mileage drop?

is the exhaust unusually quite? cat can go to pieces and plug the muffler.

No. Loud like it always is.
